Postcard – Somewhere in Gujarat, India

Both of us like photography try to keep learning new techniques from some of the masters. We had always seen waterfall pictures where water seemed to flow like silk but always thought it was not possible to capture such pictures directly from the camera until we were introduced to some of the camera filters. So, we bought ourselves ND filters during our trip to Gujarat.

This picture was not taken at any popular location. It was taken at a small village in Gujarat where a river was flowing under the bridge. I quickly set up the tripod and attached the ND to my kit lens. A few tries and when I saw this on my camera screen for results there was a wide grin on my face.

I had clicked a picture which I thought was not possible. Since then we have captured several long exposures, but this one is special as this was our first one.

So, this one is to try and keep learning new things everyday and remember that what might seem impossible, might not be that difficult as well 🙂
